Congress MLA Imran Khedawala annoyed over ticket allotment submits resign state prez

Controversy has erupted over the issue of candidate selection for upcoming corporation elections. In Behrampura ward, there is displeasure over the selection of candidates. Gujarat Congress President Amit Chavda reassured Khedawala. Congress had given mandate to 6 candidates in Behrampura.

Jamalpur Khadiya MLA Imran Khedawala has tendered his resignation to Congress state president Amit Chavda. Imran Khedawala said that his resignation as MLA has been handed over to the party president. I will resign after the reply of the party to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. Regarding the resignation from the party, he said, “I will not resign from the party.” I will remain loyal to the Congress party. I am a sincere party worker. But I have the right to resign from the legislature. I have not done politics of pressure. Khedawala has resigned over the ticket controversy. Imran Khedawala won the 2017 Jamalpur-Khadiya seat.
