Rishabh Pant to donate match fee to Uttarakhand glacier disaster, urges other to help

A glacier broke on Sunday in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli District, causing massive flooding. India cricketer Rishabh Pant will donate his match fee of the ongoing first Test against England in Chennai towards the rescue efforts after a glacier breach caused havoc in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district.

Pant decided to do his bit. He also urged others to lend their support to those affected in these trying times. “Deeply pained by the loss of life in Uttarakhand,” the cricketer wrote on Twitter.

In his tweete Pant also urged others to do the same and help out in Uttarakhand glacier disaster relief and evacuation work.
In a previous tweet, Pant had mourned the loss of life. “My sincere condolences and prayers for the families of those affected by the Uttarakhand flash floods,” Pant said. The cricketer’s tweets came right after he scored 91 in the ongoing opening Test against England at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
