New Zealand beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets to take winning 2-0 lead in 3-match series

New Zealand’s captain Tom Latham led from the front and hits an unbeaten century to help his team chase down a 272-run target against Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI at Christchurch. Latham’s 108-ball 110 was loaded with 10 boundaries as the hosts chased down the target with 10 balls and 5 wickets remaining. The win for New Zealand means an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.

After opting to ball first New Zealand dismissed Liton Das for a duck before a 81-run partnership brewed between captain Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar (32).

Spinner Mitchell Santner gave the Kiwis the breakthrough on the last ball of the 20th over. New Zealand Tom Latham also played his part in the dismissal by stumping the Bangladesh number 3.
