Road accident in UP’s Barabanki; 18 labourers, sleeping on road died

The labourers, who are from Bihar, were returning from Haryana and Punjab when their bus broke down on the national highway that leads to Bihar. They then slept on the road in front of the bus.

The truck hit the bus from behind, causing the bus to move ahead and crush the labourers.
At least 18 people died when a truck rammed into a double-decker bus on the Lucknow-Ayodhya National Highway under the Ram Sanehighat police circle. Fifteen people have been seriously injured and have been referred to the Trauma Centre in Lucknow.
