Pilot and co-pilot of army helicopter crash in Kathua still missing

Kathua SSP Ramesh Kotwal has said that search was suspended around 7.30 pm on Tuesday and resumed at 8.00 am with Navy divers taking over the operation. He added that despite all efforts the two pilots were yet to be located.

Dhruv helicopter belonging to Army’s Aviation Squadron stationed at Pathankot had taken off from Mamun cantonment at 10.20am on Tuesday and crashed into the dam near Purthu in Basohli. Search teams had recovered some parts of the chopper floating in the water but there was no trace of the two pilots.
