To express support to farmers agitation and to take part in the ongoing ‘Kisan Sansad’, Opposition leaders from the Congress and other parties joined protesting farmers at Jantar Mantar in the national capital.

Fourteen opposition party leaders met at Parliament House and then reached the nearby Jantar Mantar to participate in the Kisan Sansad, which began on July 22 to mark over seven months of the farmers’ protests at Delhi’s border points against the laws.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has criticized the Opposition parties for stalling Parliament and asserted that they cannot stop the country from marching forward. PM Modi accused them of shooting “self-goals” for political gains.
