The list of bureaucrats joining politics is swelling by the day. Shanky Bagga (IOFS: 2013) has taken VRS and joined the BJP in the presence of former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Dr Raman Singh besides state BJP president Arun Sav.
Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh are likely to be held in December 2023, Indian Ordnance Factories Service Bagga joining the BJP is being looked upon as the strategy for the next Assembly election.
