The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) reinstated the two IAS officers — K Srinivas (IAS: 2012: KN) and S Rangappa — less than a month after they were suspended by the Karnataka government in the alleged voter data theft case and assigned them new posts.
The government had suspended the officers based on orders of the Election Commission of India. They were placed under suspension on November 26 and were reinstated on December 23. K Srinivas has been allotted the post of Managing Director of Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation Ltd and S Rangappa has been posted as Executive Director of Karnataka State Minerals Corporation.
