After the change in the government in Himachal Pradesh, the first change in the bureaucracy could be of state DGP Sanjay Kundu (IPS: 1989: HP) being shunted out. The Congress demanded before the elections that Kundu must be sent out of Himachal Pradesh to conduct free and fair elections.
The DGP has already sought central deputation.
It may be underlined that Kundu may get some key position at the Centre. He was among the rarest IPS officers in the country who held key position in the state as Principal Secretary to the then CM of the state.
