A 34-year old businessman, who had recently returned from China tested Coronavirus positive in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar. The sample of the person from Bhavnagar has been sent to a lab in Gandhinagar for genome sequencing.
Coronavirus Positive tested person who is a resident of Bhavnagar, had visited China for work-related purposes. He returned to India on December 19.
Bhavnagar corporation have increased Covid-19 testing in the city in the wake of state government ramping up precautionary measures to check the spread of virus.
Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel conducted a review meeting with the senior officials and has also asked officials to conduct “compulsory” testing of travelers arriving in Gujarat state from other countries.
